COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police are investigating a robbery turned shooting at a South Columbus strip club.

It happened at the Carousel Lounge on Victory Drive at 12:30 AM Saturday.

Police say two Hispanic men were robbed at gunpoint then shot at by two black men in the parking lot.

The victims tell investigators the suspects approached them in between the club and Fox's Cinema and spoke to them. When the victims started walking away, they say the suspects pulled out a gun and robbed them.

When they handed over their property, the victims thought the robbery was over and started walking away again. That's when they say the gunmen opened fire on them, firing several shots.

One hit 26-year-old Rommel Volveras in the back of his left thigh.

The other victim, Xavier Dominguez was not shot.

Police say the suspects had a getaway car waiting for them, with two other men inside. It's described as a light gray 4-door car, possibly a Honda.

There were no other witnesses to the crime.

At this point, police say they don't have any suspects.

Volveras was taken to the Medical Center for treatment. He's expected to be released today.

Earlier this week, a contractor working on Fort Benning told police he was attacked and robbed by three men in the parking lot of the club.

At this point, it's not clear if the two cases are connected.
