COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A 27-year-old man from Phenix City now faces a laundry list of charges following a chase with Columbus Police.

Columbus Police went to pick Sylvester Davis Jr. up Saturday morning on Englewood Drive off Steam Mill Road on seven outstanding warrants, including armed robbery, aggravated assault, and theft by taking.

When police arrived, Davis was in the South Columbus driveway inside a green Ford Crown Victoria.

Police say he took off, hitting lights and a mailbox in the process.

Davis was eventually taken into custody following the chase and police found marijuana and ecstasy on him. Now, in addition to his original charges, he faces drug and obstruction charges.

He is being held in the Muscogee County Jail.
