COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Two gunmen rob a Columbus dollar store Friday morning and police believe they could be responsible for other armed robberies across the city.

Police say two black men went into the Dollar General on Amber Drive off Buena Vista Road and robbed the clerk at gunpoint before getting away with an undetermined amount of money.

Investigators think the duo could be linked to a string of recent armed robberies like the Dollar General on Macon Road last week and those at local Rite Aids on Macon Road and Double Churches Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbus Police Department's Robbery and Assault Division at 706-653-3400.
