Duo accused of breaking into Opelika Dollar General

LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) – The Lee County Sheriff's Office tells News Leader 9 they have arrested the duo they think broke into a store.

On Monday, 28-year-old Tracy Rene Coxwell of Opelika, AL and 35-year-old Ronny Howard of Valley, AL were arrested and charged with burglary and theft of property.

They were taken to the Lee County Detention Facility and have been released on $8,000 bond.

Investigators say on November 15th, they broke into the Dollar General on Highway 51 in Opelika.

According to the report, they took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Evidence linked the suspects to this crime and we're told  Coxwell was an employee of the Dollar General.
