COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Two Columbus men are in the hospital after being shot while standing in a friend's front yard.

At two o'clock Columbus Police responded to 2111 Somerset Avenue off South Lumpkin Road in reference to a drive-by shooting.

Witnesses tell police three cars with several black men in each drove by and fired several shots into the yard where a group of people were standing.

They were both transported to the Medical Center, and we're told their injuries are not life threatening.
