Columbus radio stations make a switch

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Some of your favorite radio stations may be changing spots on the dial. Right now if you tune into 103.7 you'll hear non-stop Christmas music, but that will soon change.

"At midnight December 26th we will go to our regular format for today's hits and yesterday's favorites," said 103.7 Lite FM's Program Director Brian Waters.

The radio station that previously held that spot, 103.7 The Truth, is heading down the dial to 88.5.

"For us it means we can become a non-commercial, not-profit station. And that allows us to focus more on our mission and the ministry here in town and that's a great thing," The Truth's General Manager, Brian Hite told News Leader Nine.

With its debut in the area, Waters says 103.7 Lite FM is looking to appeal to a different crowd, "Someone who doesn't want to listen to a heavy radio station and someone who doesn't want a light radio station at the same time. This is the best of both worlds."

So if you get lost looking for your go-to radio stations just remember, "Tune to 88.5 for The Truth, tune into 103.7 for the all new 103.7 Lite FM," added Waters.

If you'd like more information on the switch you can visit www.885thetruth.com or www.1037lite.fm.
