COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - An argument early Sunday left a 24 year-old dead and another man charged with his murder.

Just after midnight Columbus Police responded to 1046 Farwell Drive.  They found 24 year-old Rajneesh McPherson suffering from multiple stab wounds. McPherson was taken to the Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Police say 44 year-old Gregory Houston stabbed McPherson several times with a kitchen knife while they were fighting over sleeping arrangements.  We do not know the exact relationship between the two men, but they were both living in the home.

Houston is charged with the brutal murder and is being held in the Muscogee County Jail. He is also charged with possession of a knife during a crime, and 2 counts of 3rd degree cruelty to children.  Two minors witnessed the murder.
