Columbus mayor recognized among most influential in GA

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus mayor Jim Wetherington has received major "kudos" from a state magazine.

Georgia Trend Magazine selected Wetherington as one of its 100 Most Influential Georgians in its January issue.

This is the first time he has made the list during his 39 year career.
The mayor says  the award is not just his it belongs to everyone in Columbus," They chose me to be recognized and I'm grateful for that. But you know the Chamber, and the council and the citizen's of the city are the ones that really need to be recognized."
