ATLANTA, GA- The Georgia Department of Transportation is launching a new resource for officials, contractors and others interested in reviewing the status of upcoming and ongoing transportation projects. The Transportation Project Information, "TransPI" application available through the Department's Web site Homepage www.dot.ga.gov will provide comprehensive information for all Georgia DOT projects.
"It is vitally important that all members of the public, whether a property or business owner, a commuter or a member of the Georgia General Assembly, have transparent access to transportation project information," said Georgia DOT Commissioner Vance C. Smith, Jr. "TransPI will be excellent tool as the Department continues important discussions about funding the future transportation needs of Georgia."
Visitors to TransPI will find a straightforward tool enabling them to search for projects by keyword, Project ID, Congressional District, legislative districts, county and project status. The project page will identify the project manager, status, a description and if the project has been awarded, the cost and name of contractor.
