Auburn bank robber on the loose

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Auburn Police need your help solving a recent bank robbery.

They say Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., the Bank Trust branch located in the 400th block of North Dean Road was robbed.

The suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported, but the suspect is described as a black male in his early thirties, approximately 6'00" in height, and 180 pounds.

He had a short beard and was wearing a blue or purple baseball cap, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and a shirt with wide red and blue horizontal stripes.

It's believed the suspect fled in a white service-type truck with a toolbox bed.
