COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police are looking for a man they say abducted and sexually assaulted a teenage girl walking to a bus stop.

Officials in the Sex Crimes Unit say a 14-year-old girl was walking near the intersection of Steam Mill Road and R.C. Allen Drive on the city's east end around 8:45 Thursday morning when she approached by a man who forced her into a wooded area nearby.

Muscogee County School District Spokeswoman, Valerie Fuller, tells us the girl attends East Columbus Magnet Academy but it's unclear if she was headed to school.

The teen tells police the man sexually assaulted her in the woods and then left, walking south on R.C. Allen Drive.

Police say the teen came out of the woods and called her mother, who called police. According to the victim, her assailant was not armed.

Here is the description of the suspect police have released:

Black male in his early 20s
Dark complexion
Stocky build
Weight: 235-250 lbs
Height: 6'1
Low haircut
Some facial hair, possibly a mustache and goatee
Has a lazy eye

Last seen wearing a white zip-up hoodie, red jersey with a white shirt underneath, baggy jeans and black gloves with a white "A" on them.

Columbus Police say this case is separate from the earlier incident at East Columbus Magnet Academy. The department is confident they have the right man charged in connection with that case.

Twenty-year-old Marcus Wade was charged Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping a 12-year-old girl at gunpoint while she was walking to school and sexually assaulting her in a nearby park.
