COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  The case moves forward for a former Fort Benning solider charged with killing a dog.

A Muscogee County grand jury re-indicted 23-year-old Michael Scelia Tuesday on charges of aggravated cruelty to animals and simple battery.

According to court documents, Scelia, a Florida native, caused the death of a 3 pound dog named Oliver, back in November of 2008 , reportedly during an argument with his girlfriend.
