COLUMBUS, GA- Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and tree care.

Columbus celebrates 32 years as Georgia's first Tree City U.S.A.!

Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for our city-wide Arbor Day Celebration, Saturday, February 20, 2010, Lakebottom Park (Band Shelter), 11:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. There will be plenty of fun hands-on activities, animals from Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center, bucket truck rides, environmental exhibit displays, and Country's Barbecue will be on site selling lunch.  CCG Urban Forest & Beautification Division and Trees Columbus, Inc., will distribute FREE tree seedlings.
