COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The jury is deadlocked in the Columbus murder trial of Diana Branchfield.
Branchfield is charged with the murder of truck driver John Belfance.
After two days of trial, the jury spent today deliberating.
They do have a unanimous decision on her charge of malice murder, but the other three charges have the jurors stuck.
Those charges are felony murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The jurors asked the judge three questions throughout the day. They needed definitions of legal terms.
They also requested to re-watch the video taped testimony Branchfield gave to Columbus Police.
After a long day and the jurors being stuck in a deadlock, the judge gave them the "Allen charge." It tells the jury to examine their differences and to try and arrive at a verdict.
The jury recessed at 6 p.m. and will continue Thursday morning.
