COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus man is headed back to prison, after a decision by the Georgia Supreme Court.

The court reinstated armed robbery convictions and a 12-year prison sentence for Marquez Gardner.

Gardner was  arrested for holding up the Stylistic Beauty Salon in October of 2006 -- stealing the customers' purses and the owner's money.

The Georgia Court of Appeals had reversed the conviction on the ground that the trial court judge made an improper comment as the prosecutor questioned the beauty shop owner.
