Man arrested for "scalping" tickets in Auburn, AL

AUBURN, AL - On Saturday, January 30, 2010 the Auburn Police Division arrested Demetrius J. Goodwin, age 24, of Atlanta, Georgia, and charged him with Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree. 

Officers contacted Goodwin after a complaint was received in reference to a person "scalping" tickets in front of Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum. 

According to the report, the person was purchasing the tickets with counterfeit money. 

Goodwin was in possession of fake $20.00 bills when taken into custody.  He was transported to the Lee County Detention Center to await bond.
