Columbus, GA (WTVM)-- Our nation's fallen war heroes are being honored in a special way, through a work of art. The "Lost Heroes Art Quilt" is currently on display at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center in Columbus.
It took artist Julie Feingold two years to finish it. It includes photos of 82 heroes, 50 in the center, representing each U.S. state and another 32 images around the border of the quilt.
Right now the quilt is being transported from state to state on a national exhibit tour. Four of the fallen heroes have roots in Alabama. The quilt is on display at the National Infantry Museum for the next two weeks.
