Muscogee Co. superintendent to become maestro for a moment

COLUMBUS, GA – Dr. Susan Andrews, Superintendent of Education, is participating in the Columbus Youth Orchestra's "Maestro for a Moment" fundraiser. 

Andrews is competing against Billy Blanchard, President and CEO of CB&T and Rick McKnight, Owner of the Kiddie Shoppe.  The official campaign kick-off was Sunday, February 7, 2010.

Candidates are soliciting $1.00 donations (per vote).  On Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bill Heard Theatre at the River Center for the Performing Arts, the Maestro for a Moment will be announced and will conduct the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus. 

The winner will be determined by the most donations.  All proceeds benefit the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus.
