COLUMBUS, GA- St. Francis is hosting "The Heart Truth for Women," a community educational luncheon that aims to help change the staggering fact that heart disease is the number one killer of women. St. Francis joins this national awareness campaign aimed at women.
The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, February 11, at the St. Luke Ministry Center. This year's event will feature Eliz Greene, who was seven months pregnant with twins when she suffered a massive heart attack. Her life changed—not only did she survive a 10-minute cardiac arrest, the cesarean delivery of her daughters and open-heart surgery, all on the same day—she gained new perspective and passion for life.
In keeping with the Real Women Wear Red theme, attendees are asked to wear red to the luncheon. The red dress is the national symbol for women and heart disease.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased online at www.wecareforlife.com or by calling 706-596-4070.
