Police investigate shooting/hijacking at Columbus church

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police say a man was shot at and carjacked outside of a South Columbus church.

It happened Tuesday around 3 PM in the parking lot of New Bethel Tabernacle on Winston Road, near the intersection of Cusseta Road and Benning Drive.

According to police, the victim, 35-year-old Keith Jordan from College Park, GA, was shot at once with a pistol and his Lincoln Town Car was stolen.

Jordan was not injured in the incident.

A description of the suspect was not provided.

The case is under investigation.
