COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  In just five days, a deserving Georgia family will feel the excitement of knowing they're the recipients of a brand new home courtesy of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

"Someone just donated a solar system.  We are now adding solar heating and energy to this house, stuff like that is happening all the time. This house is constantly undergoing improvements in the design phase.

Dan Goodin with Nationwide Homes and its parent company, Palm Harbor Homes has the daunting task of putting this house together. It will be built in a factory and assembled on site, the first of its kind for extreme makeover.

"This is a systems built modular home, state and local residential building codes are the same, you will get the same results, it's just put together differently."

But who will get the home is still a mystery.

"We're a week away from determining a family out here in West Central Georgia. TY will be jumping off the bus surprising a family shortly," says Milan Vasic.

The volunteers who will be pitching in to help make the dream a reality, met with the show's producers and builders for a pep rally Tuesday.

"I feel that this is a great way to give back to a deserving family, I'm blessed to have a home that suits me and I built my home...I feel this is a great way to give gave to the community and a deserving family, says Jenny Bridges.

Time is winding down, TY will actually knock on that door on February 21, if you would like to volunteer, click here.
