GBI offers reward for Magnolia St. murder

AMERICUS, GA – The Americus Police Department, Sumter County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are announcing a $1,000.00 reward which is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction pertaining to the murder of Dorothy Sheffield. 

On Monday, June 29, 2009, Sheffield was found deceased in her home located at 818 ½ Magnolia Street, Americus, Georgia. 

Sheffield was last seen by family members on Sunday, June 28, 2009.  This investigation is ongoing and numerous leads have been generated in this case however, no arrests have been made.
