Exclusive: Barber shop owner arrested following double-homicide

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) – News Leader 9 has learned some new details in the recent barber shop killings in Phenix City.

Police tell us 30-year-old Dazele Pridgett was arrested on February 12th and charged with hindering prosecution in connection with the double–homicide.

According to Captain Frank Ivey, Pridgett owns Rad Kutz Barber Shop.

Pridgett has since been released from jail.

On the afternoon of February 9th, two men were killed at the Rad Kutz Barber Shop located in the 100th block of Seale Road.

Police say the victims, 34-year-old Shedrick Dixon and 37-year-old Keith Weeks, had known each other for a long time and officials do not believe this was a random shooting.

Witnesses told investigators there was a verbal altercation where at least 10 shots were fired.
