641st Mobilization Troop Command to be inactivated next week

FORT BENNING, GA - The 641st Mobilization Troop Command will be inactivated during a ceremony scheduled for 1 p.m. March 1 behind Ridgway Hall.

The unit was first mobilized at Fort Benning in May, 2004 in support of individual Soldier mobilization and demobilization operations.

From the time the 641st was mobilized to the present, the unit processed and prepared more than 17,550 Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers, DoD civilians and civilian contractors for deployment. 

During that same period the unit redeployed more than 10,078 individuals. The 641st is made up of U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers.
