Heavy Snow Stays North; Our Rain Almost Over

(WTVM) - Snow is gradually ending in northern Alabama and Georgia as the late winter storm winds its way up the east coast and away from our area.

There have been reports of up to seven inches of snow in spots, but the more common totals are between two and four inches in the area under the winter storm warning in north Georgia, mainly north of Atlanta.

Rain has almost come to an end throughout WTVM's coverage area in West Georgia and East Alabama, and only some sprinkles are expected through the evening, possibly a few flakes of snow.

A cool and windy day lies ahead for us on Wednesday, but clouds should be able to break enough to give us some sunshine with much more sun on tap for Thursday and beyond..
