100 plus jobs to be filled at Callaway Gardens

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Hundreds of people filed into Callaway Garden's Job Fair Monday morning with one mission in mind—to land a job.   The Pine Mountain resort is looking to fill more than 100 positions including seasonal spring and summer jobs as well as some full-time positions.

"I would like to do Director of Guest Relations.  I want to work with the customers, make them feel happy. I am about customer service, all about a good experience, says Shannon Morey of Columbus. Morey says she's been without a job for only a week, but realizes she needs to find something to avoid any pitfalls.   Like Morey, most applicants already know which job matches their experience.

"I noticed they had security job available. Since I have a law enforcement background and I've worked security for Total Systems Services, I am hoping that I will find a fit," adds Jeff Barentine of Phenix City.  Barentine left his job three months ago at United Auto Recovery seeking a less life-threatening job.  He says with Callaway's ‘good name' he hopes to get hired.

Guest relations and security are just a few of the positions Callaway Gardens is looking to fill.  The job search also covers a full-time food and beverage director and a part-time water skiing instructor or games attendant on the beach.

"We hope to plan to have a lot of people here for spring and summer. So, we need people to help serve guest. We're looking for positive outgoing, optimistic people who are here, energetic to help us serve the guest with the best experience we can do," says Rachel Crumbley, Public Relations Director at Callaway.

The job fair is from 10am to 6pm eastern time Monday. Managers are conducting on-site interviews.
