Men carjacked and robbed at gunpoint at BP station

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police are investigating a carjacking and armed robbery at a gas station.

The incident occurred Wednesday around 7:00 p.m. at the BP station on 2nd Avenue.

Police say the gunman approached 54-year-old Harrell Kelleg of Waverly Hall, GA and told him to get out of his car.

That's when officers say another man, 52-year-old Leonard Colbort, tried to help Kelleg. He was robbed at gunpoint as well.

The gunman took Kelleg's 1999 Buick Century and $10 in cash from Colbort. A description of the suspect is not available at this time.
