COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A man's love for the arts and the military has brought a smile to many families in the Fountain City. He owns Pizza Pronto and his secret recipe is that he's been doing this for many years.   He loves to help military families in anyway he can.

Jim Talley has been making pizza for many years. But while making pizza he tries to give back to his community. He purchases tickets from the RiverCenter and gives them away to Fort Benning soldiers and their families.

"We give them all away to the military and it's just I guess our way of saying thanks for the job you do," said Talley.

He and the military have a long history.  "It's just a deep appreciation for what these men and women go through. My dad was a World War II sergeant and his younger brother lost his life at age 22," said Talley.

For 10 years Talley has purchased over $5000 worth of tickets to benefit soldiers. Darlene Kittrell, the Marketing Director of RiverCenter says this has helped bring popular performers to the performing arts center.

She says, "the value that it is to the people to receive these free tickets the sharing of the arts is just a phenomenal gift."
