Disabled Columbus man robbed at gunpoint

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police are investigating an armed robbery after a local man says he was attacked by three gunmen.

It happened late Wednesday night on Fort Benning Road but the victim didn't report it to police until Thursday afternoon.

50-year-old Wilmon Wisemon, who is listed as disabled, says three black men approached him and robbed him of his cell phone and a ring after striking him in the face with a revolver.

Wisemon has injuries to his forehead and ear.

He is listed in stable condition at the Medical Center.

He describes the suspects as:

Black man, 20-25 years old, 6'1", 160-165 lbs., with a dark complexion

Black man, 20-25 years old, 5'11", 160-165 lbs., light skinned

Black man, 20-25 years old, 5'8", 150 lbs., dark skinned, long hair
