Man steals toiletries from local store

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police are investigating a burglary at a local Dollar General.

Around 6:00 Saturday morning the store's manager called police to the location on Manchester Expressway in reference to a shattered glass door. After reviewing surveillance video and walking through the Dollar General, it was discovered that a black male entered the store carrying a large blue Tupperware container. The suspect then filled the container with several items, including toiletries, beard trimmers, batteries and camera film.

Damage to the door is estimated at $400 and the police report shows the stolen goods are worth a couple hundred dollars.

The suspect is a black man, wearing jeans and a gray hoodie and he had a skull cap covering his head.
