Columbus man shot while walking home

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police are looking for the suspect responsible for shooting a man while he was walking home over the weekend.

The victim, 28 year old Demetrius Cutts, told Columbus Police he left "Club Majestic" on foot around 3:30 Sunday morning and was a short distance from his apartment when a late 1990's green Chevy Malibu pulled up and a person in the passenger seat pointed a gun in his direction. The suspect fired two shots, striking Cutts in his upper right leg.

He was treated for non life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital. Cutts told police he did not know the shooter and that he has not idea why he was targeted.
