COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A man charged with kidnapping and rape in Columbus gets bond.

Rodrecuz Boyd is charged with kidnapping, armed robbery and rape.

In January of 2008, officials in the Sex Crimes Division say a woman was walking on Oates Avenue, near the intersection of River Road and Manchester Expressway, when a car stopped and she went over to it.

Police say at gunpoint, the woman was told to get in and then she was driven to a church parking lot on Saint Mary's Road where she was allegedly raped.

After the sexual assault, police say the victim was robbed of $20 and dropped off on a nearby street, where she flagged someone down for help.

According to investigators, a rape kit done on the victim identified a possible suspect using DNA and the victim identified that same man in a line-up as Boyd.

He was arrested in October of 2009 on outstanding warrants.

Wednesday, a Muscogee County Superior Court Judge set Boyd's bond at $300,000- $100,000 on each of his three counts.

He is being held in the Muscogee County Jail.
