A free service that prepares your taxes and keeps none of your return will open shop on Friday, January 13th. 

VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.

It's a volunteer based program that provides FREE tax preparation to households earning $50,000 or less. All volunteers are trained and certified through the Internal Revenue Service.

Proper Documentation is REQUIRED for VITA volunteers to adequately and accurately prepare your tax return.  

Please bring the following items with you:

• Social Security Cards for you, spouse and all dependents
• Valid Picture ID: Driver's license, Military ID, Identification Card etc.
• Copy of your 2010 tax return, if you have it
• Income documentation including:
• W-2 forms for all jobs worked in 2011
• All 1099 forms showing other income received in 2011
• Your account number and routing number to have your refund deposited directly into     your account. You can split your refund into as many as 3 different accounts.

After Tax Season:

   Call for appointment. Taxes dating back

   to 2007 can be prepared after April 17th.
