COLUMBUS  GA (WTVM) – Columbus Fire and EMS tell News Leader 9 they have reopened a fire investigation.

In a press conference Thursday, officials revealed they are now looking for a person of interest in a September 27th blaze that destroyed River Road Pharmacy located at 5100 River Road.

The fire started in the ceiling—leading investigators to originally assume the fire was electrical.

Officials now believe the person or persons who started the blaze had a working knowledge of fires.

Recently, several sources have been calling in with tips; so a reward for $10,000 is being offered to the public for information leading to an arrest.

If you have any leads, call Columbus Fire and EMS at (706) 653-3520 or call Columbus Crime Stoppers at (706) 653 – 3188.

The four firefighters who were injured in that blaze have since returned to work.
