Columbus elementary school rummaged

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Georgetown Elementary was burglarized Monday night.

After the school's alarm sounded, police discovered the cafeteria door had been forced open.

In addition, officers found that several doors were damaged and forced open – including the kitchen, teacher's lounge and principal's office.

There was damage to a vending machine and several rooms were rummaged through, but it is unknown what was stolen from the school.

More than $3,000 worth of damage was reported.
