PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - Russell County Commissioners and Phenix City Council members all met separately Wednesday to discuss some on-going projects and plan a joint session.

The Russell County Commissioners finally set a date for a joint work session with Phenix City Council. The issue on the table is the Russell County Jail expansion. You may remember we told you the commissioners are fully prepared to fund the project, but Phenix City Council members don't feel like contributing millions of dollars is worth it from their end.

The joint work session is scheduled for April 15th at 10 a.m. at the Central Activities Center. It is open to the public.
