COLUMBUS, GA - Each year the MCSD Title I Department sponsors the educational event that is open to families of students in grades K-8.
Grand Slam serves two purposes:
(1) To demonstrate to parents and children that learning together can be entertaining and exciting.
(2) To encourage parents to become partners in their child's education.
Grand Slam consists of a variety of fun, engaging activities on the key Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) areas of reading and math. Students must bring a parent or caring adult to accompany them at all times. The Muscogee County School District (MCSD) encourages parents to be actively involved in their child's education and learning experiences.
