FORT BENNING, GA - Lt. Gen. Benjamin Freakley, commander of U.S. Army Accessions Command, will visit here March 30 at 1:30 p.m. to observe officer candidate training and assess the Army's new officership campaign.
Formerly the U.S. Army Infantry Center commanding general from 2003-2005, Freakley is now responsible for recruiting all Army officer and enlisted personnel, managing and conducting those recruiting operations, and developing direct commission and appointment policy.
The officership campaign was launched last fall to attract a future group of Army leaders from the digital generation of young adults.
