Phenix City man sentenced for vehicular homicide

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) –  A Phenix City man, charged in a fatal accident on J.R. Allen Parkway two years ago, is headed to prison.

Friday morning, a judge sentenced 19-year-old James Huguley to five years in prison—followed by ten years of probation.

Police say Huguley was speeding and had been drinking when he lost control of his car on the Bradley Park Exit of J.R. Allen Parkway.

The car slammed into a tree, killing his passenger, 19-year-old R.J. Holden.
