RICHLAND, GA (WTVM)  -  News Leader 9 was first to break the news yesterday that portions of the Richland, GA industrial park on Highway 520 caught fire shortly before 6PM. Fire officials from Richland, Lumpkin, and Chattahoochee Counties responded to the fire.

Today, fire officials report  that the Phenix City-based business Top Quality Straw appears to be a total loss. The unit housed a shop, a truck, a tractor trailer, and several tools. Although there is no official report available at this time, preliminary reports indicate that the hazardous paints, oils, and diesel fuels were stored inside.

The guard dog for the business was killed in the flames. No other injuries are reported. The case remains under investigation.
