Cab driver robbed

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A Columbus cab driver was robbed at gunpoint Monday.

The victim tells police his cab was dispatched  to 5488 Chatham Woods Court to pick up three people and when he arrived the individuals robbed him. He tells him one of the suspects pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at the passenger side window and demanded the cab driver get out of the van.

Once the victim stepped outside the van, another suspect pointed a pistol at him and forced him on to the ground, kicked him several times and demanded money.

The three men, who are described as black males, in their 20's, wearing all black clothing, ran away from the scene. They got away with $40 in cash and the victim had a few scrapes on his face.

    Police confirm the suspect shot his grandmother and a woman at another location, then took his grandmother's car. He also took the wounded woman with him.
