Legal Teams Line Up in Daycare Fire Case

Columbus, Ga. (WTVM) --

The parent of one child injured in the February 27th home daycare fire has hired an attorney to pursue her legal options as pending investigative reports become available. Dana Richardson is being represented by Willie Gary, a Florida-based attorney who represented Kenneth Walker's widow. Rochell Jefferson, the owner and operator of the daycare, has hired Columbus, Ga. attorney, Jerry Buchanan.

One toddler died in the February fire, one adult suffered smoke inhalation and three other children sustained burns and other injuries. Fire officials say the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation. It's believed the fire may have started near the carport in the laundry room.
