LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) – A Lee County jury reached a guilty verdict in the re-trial of an Opelika man accused of raping an elderly woman.

Ninety-year-old Annie Hilyer says Anthony Vines broke into her home and raped her.

Detectives testified the chain lock on Hilyer's door was broken.

Vines says Hilyer initiated sexual contact, but the jury thought otherwise.
As for the chain lock, Vines testified as he was opening the door, Hilyer fell down causing him to jerk and break the door chain.

Vines originally told police he was not at Hilyer's home, but says he was intimidated by investigators.

News Leader 9 is in the courtroom following this case, we'll have more details beginning at Five.
