Here's a look at what News Leader 9 is working on for our evening shows:

- GANGS IN COLUMBUS?: Northside High School is cleaning up graffiti, including a 50 foot rendering of the male anatomy and gang phrases. It's the most recent report to include gang-related vandalism; so New Leader Nine asks, "does the city have a gang problem"? We'll get the answer from a member of the Columbus Police Department's Gang Task Force. Lindsey Connell puts vandalism in perspective, tonight during the news at 5:00 & 6:00pm EST.

- ANTHONY VINES VERDICT:  After his first trial ended with a hung jury, a decision is back for Anthony Vines. The Opelika man is charged with raping a 90-year-old woman. News Leader Nine's Elizabeth White has the verdict, tonight during our 6:00pm EST news.

- ST. FRANCIS ANNOUNCEMENT: More jobs and better service are coming to St. Francis Hospital. News Leader Nine's Taylor Barnhill has the details on a major expansion, tonight at 5:00 and 6:00pm EST.

- BEYOND THE FORECAST: Storm Team 9 has etched out a half-hour to talk about the most effective methods to keep your family safe. We'll recap this past year's craziest weather events and tell you how to prepare for tornados, flooding and other extreme conditions. It all starts during the news at 5:30pm EST.
