Construction students build playhouses for Easter Seals

COLUMBUS, GA - Career Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) students at the Academic Success Center, Carver, Hardaway, Jordan and Shaw High Schools, are construction artists!

They are designing and building playhouses to be raffled for Easter Seals of West Georgia.

The playhouses are on display in the parking lot at Sam's Club, 5448 Whittlesey Boulevard.

Each project allows advanced students to apply what they have learned in class and turn it in to a real life construction project.  It also offers a chance to participate in a worthy community service activity.

Playhouse designs include a representation of a surf shop, log cabin, plantation house, a castle, and a boat!

Raffle tickets can be purchased from an Easter Seals member at the site or from several local banks and industries.  Tickets are $5.00 each.  All funds raised from this project will be donated to Easter Seals of West Georgia.
