COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Many children had their share of fun with a few Easter egg hunts around the valley.
There was a big one Sunday afternoon at Carver Park in Columbus, but it wasn't just about the eggs. Organizers also fired up the grill for the event.
An entertainment group known as the Super Shop Boyz helped host the event. Joshua Sanabria with the group told News Leader Nine, "We do a lot of stuff in the community so we figured we'd just give back, have everybody come out for free...free food, free music."
Cleopatra Vaugh with Tight End Budget Entertainment added, "basically we just wanted to give back to the community, being that we're with entertainment companies, we got together and just wanted to give back to the community and see the families and kids enjoy themselves today"
This is the second year that the group has held the event.
Organizers tell us one of the plastic eggs had $100 hidden in it.
