Columbus man shot twice in the stomach

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus man is in the hospital after an early morning shooting.

Columbus Police were called to 4006 6th avenue Apt. B in the northwest section of the city just before 6:00 a.m. Wednesday in reference to someone being shot.

Officers found 20-year-old Harvey Walker lying on the ground outside of his girlfriend's apartment with what appeared to be two gunshot wounds to the stomach area.

Walker was taken to the Columbus Regional Medical Center.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Investigators with the Columbus Police Department's Robbery and Assault Division are handling the case. Detectives are conducting interviews now.
