COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Police are looking for a woman they say used a bat to break in to her boyfriend's apartment.

Police are looking for a woman they say used a bat to break in to her boyfriend's apartment.

It happened Saturday night around 5:30 on North Lumpkin Road.

Police say neighbors called the victim, 37-year-old John Nwandu,  and told him his ex-girlfriend was leaving his apartment carrying a bat.

When Nwandu got there, officers say his ex, 24-year-old Akisha Zigler, tried to run him off the road with her Ford Taurus and got away.

Nwandu found his apartment ransacked and according to police, Zigler used the bat to pry wood from the bedroom window and break in.

Zigler faces burglary and assault charges.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbus Police Department at 706-653-3400.
