AMERICUS, GA (WTVM) - The Americus Police Department is investigating a home invasion that left a man bound in the middle of the floor.
Police were dispatched to Courtside Apartments located at 950 Anthony Drive around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday and found 21-year-old Jarvis Willis tied-up in the middle of his apartment floor.
The call was initially thought to be an attempted suicide, because Willis told police dispatchers he had a strap around his neck.
What police found was a belt strap tied around Willis' throat. He was transported to the Phoebe Sumter Regional Hospital for treatment.
No arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation.
