COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Out of four million returns expected to be filed in Georgia, nearly 3 million have already been e-filed.
This increase in electronic filing is one reason postal service officials say post office hours in Columbus will not be extended April 15th.
All post offices will close at regular time, which is 5 p.m. for most locations and 7 p.m. for Milgen Road. Officials say the cutoff time for outside collection boxes is midnight.
IRS officials say for those folks who are filing paper returns, it's important to double check all information and sign the return.
Errors could cause a delay in processing and any refund due.
